Sinopsis:
Berlatar di masa depan, yaitu tahun 2046, ada seorang murid yang sering dijahili di sekolahnya, ia bernama Arita Haruyuki ia terganggu dengan perilaku tersebut dan memilih bermain Virtual game untuk menghabiskan waktu senggangnya.
Tahun 2046 juga merupakan tahun dimana ditemukannya Neuro Linker. Neuro Linker merupakan sebuah alat yang terintegrasi dengan otak yang menggunakannya secara otomatis, alat tersebut digunakan untuk bermain Virtual Game.
Suatu ketika, ia bertemu dengan Kuroyukihime, berbeda dengannya Kuroyukihime adalah gadis yang cantik sekaligus populer disekolahnya, pertemuan tersebut karena Kuroyokuhime yang sedang menjabat sebagai tertarik dengan Haruyuki karena kondisinya disekolah.
Kuroyokuhime memperkenalkan sebuah program yang bernama “Brain Brust” dan juga VR yang bernama “Accel World“. Namun ternyata program tersebut bukanlah program biasa, program tersebut mempercepat kinerja otak dan membuat waktu seakan-akan berhenti, namun untuk menggunakan akselerasi tersebut di dunia nyata harus menggunakan point dengan cara mengalahkan musuh, namun jika point sampai habis, maka ingatan tentang Brain Brust akan hilang.
Melihat program tersebut Kuroyukihime meminta bantuan Haruyuki untuk mencapai tingkat 10 di Brain Brust yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui siapa pencipta program dan apa apalasan dibalik pembuatan program tersebut.
