Sinopsis:
Bercerita tentang sepasang saudara bernama Edward Elric dan Alphonse Elric. Ayah mereka bernama Van Hohenheim merupakan seorang Alkemist yang jarang berada dirumah sehingga Ed & Al hanya tinggal bersama Ibunya, Trisha Elric.
Namun karena sakit, Trisha akhirnya meninggal. Ed dan Al yang saat itu masih kecil, namun mereka berdua sudah mewarisi bakat ayahnya mencoba untuk menghidupkan kembali sang Ibunda. Dalam dunia Alkemi, “Untuk mendapatkan sesuatu yang diinginkan, maka harus mengorbankan sesuatu dengan harga yang setimpal”.
Sebagai harga untuk mencoba menghidupkan kembali ibunya, Tubuh Al dan kaki kiri Ed diambil sebagai “biaya masuk” untuk ritual tersebut. Namun sayang sekali, percobaan mereka tersbut sia-sia dan gagal. Al yang hanya memiliki jiwa kini hidup dalam baju zirah yang didapatkan dengan bayaran tangan kanan Edward.
Sedangkan tangan kanan dan kaki kiri Edward diganti dengan Automail. Dari sinilah kisah mereka berpetualang untuk mencari cara agar tubuh mereka kembali, serta kehidupan barunya yang bergabung sebagai alkemis negara (Fullmetal Alchemist) dimulai.

Sedangkan tangan kanan dan kaki kiri Edward diganti dengan Automail. Dari sinilah kisah mereka berpetualang untuk mencari cara agar tubuh mereka kembali, serta kehidupan barunya yang bergabung sebagai alkemis negara (Fullmetal Alchemist) dimulai.
